Welcome!! We are currently working on setting up our location in Pungo, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Stay tuned for classes and events this Spring. Back to Nature offers nature based classes and activities for all ages.
All programs are child-led, play-based, and held outside with emergent, seasonal, and land-based activities.
Skills shared include shelter building, knots, gardening, cooking, yoga and music.
Facilitators have training in Trauma-Informed Teaching and Social Emotional Learning.
We also integrate in Brazilian culture, language, and music, Spanish, and some Irish.
Occasionally we will have guests join us to share a variety of skills, knowledge, and culture.
We want this to be a place where you and your loved ones feel heard, seen, and set up with tools to succeed at home, school, and in life in general.
Adults
Whether you just love nature or are noticing signs of stress and burnout, we have programs for you too! Come out and enjoy a forest school experience. Cook in our Mud Kitchen, design seasonal decorations, or sit and draw or journal in our beautiful space.
We can also bring nature to you! It’s a great way to bring out your creative side, reduce stress, and inspire connection! Plan a nature themed party or a fun activity for the next staff meeting. Just send us an email and we’ll co-create an amazing event! Tons of craft options and activities to choose from!
